Daniel David

Position: Trainer

Daniel joined EDGE as an EDGE training associate in 2021. A physiotherapist, he has worked in both acute and community settings dealing with MSD issues, long term and acute chronic conditions, neurological conditions and respiratory patients. He has been involved with manual handling training since 1993. As part of his role in the NHS he was involved with finding ergonomic solutions, procurement of equipment, devising and planning training for all clinical and non-clinical staff, incident investigation and involved with innovation. He delivers adult moving and handling courses for EDGE.

In his spare time Daniel likes watching Netflix, playing badminton and walks when time and weather permits. Daniel enjoys going on holidays and has a lot to catch up for the lost time since the pandemic.

Favourite aspect of being an EDGE trainer... Meeting delegates from different backgrounds and working environments.

Top Training Tip... Getting the right tools to make the task efficient and safe for health care professionals and clients, it has to be evidence based and best practice has to be followed at all times. Don’t be frightened to challenge practices in your workplace and apply the principles of risk assessment at all times.
