Martin Hedley

Position: Trainer

Martin originally joined EDGE Services in 2003. He worked with us for 6 years before leaving for a job closer to home and we are delighted to welcome him back.

Martin has more than 20 years experience working in the NHS and has a background in spinal rehabilitation, general operating theatres and accident and emergency nursing. Martin spent 8 years as the Back Care Advisor for a Lincolnshire NHS Trust and he brings a wealth of new experience to his training role at EDGE.

Hailing from the North East and now based in the Midlands Martin is a keen cyclist who regularly enters charity rides, he enjoys fine dining, spending time with wife Laura and children Mia and Sam and supporting Nottingham Forrest.

Favourite aspect of being an EDGE trainer: meeting people from all areas of the healthcare sector, from all over the UK and knowing that I have helped to increase their knowledge and confidence and therefore enabling them to provide safer care for their clients.

Top Training Tip: Keep it simple and relevant and be yourself when delivering training.
