EDGE Services are proud to support The Little Groups ‘Gift for Granny’ 2014 Christmas Gift Appeal

Last year The Little Group, a recruitment and care compliance company working in the Health and Social Care Sector, launched the Gift for Granny Christmas gift appeal. The appeal asked members of the public to donate a Christmas gift which was then delivered to a resident in a local care home who may have not seen anyone over the Christmas period.

Managing Director, Stacey Crowther, said “We were totally amazed at the fantastic response we received for Gift for Granny last year. Due to the very kind donations made by members of the public and local companies we managed to achieve our ultimate aim – delivering Christmas gifts to elderly people living in care homes and trying to spread some festive cheer”.

Director of EDGE Services, provider of moving and handling training to the health, care and social care sector, Kate Lovett heard about the campaign via social media and wanted to get on board. She said “We are thrilled to support such a wonderful initiative, getting gifts to local care home residents who may not always receive something – it’s in the true spirit of Christmas and we are delighted to act as a drop off centre for donations.”

The Little Group are asking for new, unwrapped gifts that would be appropriate for the older generation, for both gentleman and ladies; soaps, slippers, books, biscuits, jigsaws etc. The team, along with their supporters, will be delivering the gifts to care homes on 23 December and would kindly ask that all donations are made 20 December.

You can either drop your donation off at EDGE Services, 13 Museum Street (the EDGE office door is opposite the entrance to Museum Gardens, next to Demijohn and above Costa Coffee) - or you can visit the Drop off Centre page (http://giftforgranny.co.uk/doc) for alternative regional drop off centres.

Thank you for your support!
