EDGE Services Supports Good Care Week

A new campaign has been launched at the House of Commons on July 3rd to raise public awareness of the issues surrounding social care in the UK today. The campaign’s focus is on what constitutes good social care and to encourage people who either work in social care or are in receipt of social care (and their friends and families) to talk about it. The campaign has already got the backing of many key players within the care industry including the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services, the English Community Care Association and Care Talk magazine.

It is hoped that the campaign which will culminate in Good Care Week (w/c 22nd April 2013) will create a national presence in which we can truly celebrate excellence in social care, raise the status of the many thousands who work in the industry and influence government to increase funding.
