Representative Bodies Announce Merger

The merging of the two largest social care representative bodies has recently been announced, the English Community Care Association and the National Care Association are joining to form Care England. It is thought to be beneficial for all and strengthen the sector for the better as they now have further resources and can make the most of their qualifications.

In a joint statement Nadia Ahmad and Jane Ashcroft the two chairman state, “Our sector faces a period of considerable change which will require robust representation on behalf of our membership. For some time now our two organisations have been working together so it felt like the natural step in our relationship. We believe that combining the two strong and respected organisations together will strengthen the voice of health and social care and give our membership wider range of services".
