National Personal Safety Day

Monday 17th October 2005 is National Personal Safety Day. This year the Suzy Lamplugh Trust, in partnership with Milly's Fund, are launching a new campaign called ‘The Streets Deserve Respect’, which aims to distribute vital safety advice about how to avoid violence and aggression on the streets. The Trust are also holding a series of safety awareness conferences before the end of December aimed at people may be vulnerable in their workplace.

• Working Safely in Other Peoples Homes – 17th November, Bristol
• Lone Working – 7th December 2005, London

The conferences provide delegates with an opportunity to hear presentations and case studies as well as participating in group work to share experiences and develop strategies that can be implemented upon return to their workplace.
